What is a claim?

This simply refers to the event that caused the damage, which is the basis for your compensation request under the Host Guarantee, in partnership with insurer AXA.

N.B.: The damage or loss must have been suffered by your home or your belongings.

When you report damage or loss following a booking, you are filing "a claim."

If you're seeking coverage under the Host Guarantee* rather than using your security deposit to cover the damage, you'll be asked to fill out a simple questionnaire to confirm that your request qualifies for a case to be opened with our partner AXA. If it does, a dedicated AXA representative will help determine the amount you'll be reimbursed, which may involve an expert assessment.
